In all honesty, I have very high hopes for SkyNET. Other Cenhancements' are the addition of lots of new weapons (17 in total), an enhanced version of Xngine (Bethesda's proprietary game engine) -although they haven't made clear exactly what the enhancements are -and support for various virtual reality headsets. You'll be able to customise the multi-player environment completely by deciding how many vehicles and weapons are in the play area.
You'll be able to take on your mates in enormous battlefields and chase them about in jeeps, trucks or even aircraft. Yes, you've got it, SkyNET is going to be very, very big on the multi-player side of things. Perhaps you've been looking at the title of the game at the top of the page and seen the word net in bloody big letters. Perhaps you can guess what this fantastic new improvement is. Bethesda have made up for this enhanced graphics, there is another major new feature in SkyNET. I know this because I saw the hi-res version of Future Shock when I visited Bethesda in the States, although the svga code didn't make it into the final version. I haven't seen this version running yet, but if it's anything like the hi-res version of the first game, it will be absolutely fab. The graphics have been given a major overhaul and now have full support for svga. The player must locate parts to assemble a prototype "V-TEC" plasma rifle, battle through to the final level of the complex, and destroy the Meta-Node to secure victory for humankind.Okay, first things first. Meanwhile, the full contingent of SkyNet's modern forces try to stop him, from flying drones and floating mines, to disguised Terminators posing as civilians. The player must scour each level, searching for upgraded clearance cards, weapons, ammunition, and health. The player takes command of a human Resistance commando, sent into the past and directly into the entrance of a machine-controlled Cheyenne Mountain. Four years after landing, this Meta-Node has managed to completely capture Cyberdyne's Cheyenne Mountain complex and uses the armored bunker to start building a fledgling SkyNet, and legions of Terminator robots to protect it. Sent to 1984, this time it is the monstrous "Meta-Node " a machine explicitly designed for infiltration and construction.
In Rampage, the corrupt defense system SkyNet again finds itself overrun by the human Resistance, and again manages to send a robot into the past to preserve its future existence. Terminator: Rampage is Bethesda's fourth Terminator-licensed game, and is a standard first-person corridor crawler.
